Vepa pays a lot of attention to enlisting specific target groups in the work process. Think in this context of drop-outs amongst young people, practical work for women reintegrating into the labour market, and the long-term unemployed, but also of people who want to get to work through social work provision. In addition, Vepa annually donates a part of its profits to activities for the local community and to a good cause which is newly identified every year. In 2007 this was the “Doe een wens” (Make a Wish) foundation, an organisation of volunteers which fulfils the greatest wish of children aged 3 to 18 years who have a life-threatening illness.
Working climate
The working climate at Vepa offers employees the space to contribute their input and exercise their own responsibility. Attention is paid to personal development in the broadest sense of the word, in other words not solely in relation to the job. Think in this context of courses and training, but also of lectures. Within Vepa a lot of attention is paid and great importance is attached to standards and values. Treating people with respect both inside and outside the organization.
Drenthish level-headedness
The entire Vepa production process takes place in our own factories. The ‘Made in Holland’ label is a conscious choice in terms of constant quality and the possible disadvantages of outsourcing to low wage countries; for example child labour and violations of human rights. We can give you a guarantee that Vepa as a producer, and all our products, comply with the highest European standards in the area of working conditions.
