In the course of product development, purchasing, production, building and landscape maintenance, Vepa pays attention to reducing waste, energy consumption, CO2 emissions, the consumption of fossil fuels, and deforestation. An example of this is the preference for raw materials from sustainably managed forests. In a certified forest trees are felled carefully so that the forest remains in existence. For following generations too.
Another example is transportation which is under our own control. The lorries comply with the strict EURO V standard, although this is only mandatory in Europe from October 2009 onwards. Office furniture is transported in an advanced state of assembly and is protected during transportation by means of packing covers instead of throwaway packaging. Only very small quantities of packaging are used, which means that in this way too, the burden on the environment continues to be kept to a minimum.
Made in Holland
The entire Vepa production process takes place in our own factories. The ‘Made in Holland’ label is a conscious choice in terms of constant quality and the possible disadvantages of outsourcing to low wage countries; for example violations of human rights. And it is of course an excellent way of reducing the need for fuel because the products are produced in close proximity to the consumer market.

Product development
Focal points in product development are the re-use of raw materials, waste reduction, promoting service life, and maximisation of recycling ability. Pretty well all Vepa products consist of separate components which means that a recycling factor of almost 100% is possible following disassembly. The components of steel and aluminium are 100% recyclable.
